The short version: Bufferly does not collect, transmit, or store any of your clipboard data. Everything stays on your device. The only time we touch a network is to validate your license key — and even then, no clipboard content is ever involved.
Buffertino (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Bufferly macOS application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we do and don't handle when you use Bufferly.
Bufferly is a 100% local application. We never collect:
All clipboard history is stored locally on your Mac and never leaves your device. Bufferly does not use iCloud sync, network sync, or any cloud service for clipboard data. Clearing your history in the app permanently deletes everything from your machine.
Payments are processed by Creem B.V.(“Creem”), who acts as the merchant of record. When you complete a purchase, you are transacting with Creem directly. Creem collects your name, email address, billing address, and payment details to process the transaction and handle taxes. We receive only your email address from Creem, which we use solely to deliver your license key. Creem operates under their own Privacy Policy.
When you activate a license key in the app, Bufferly sends the key and a device identifier to Creem to confirm the key is valid and has not exceeded its device limit. No clipboard data or personal information is included in this request.
Bufferly requires macOS Accessibility permissions to paste items into other applications. This permission is granted locally in System Settings and is never transmitted anywhere. We use only the minimum access needed to make pasting work.
Bufferly contains no analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or tracking of any kind. We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Sentry, or any similar service inside the application.
Our website (bufferly.app) may log standard server data such as IP addresses and user agents for security and operational purposes. We do not use tracking pixels or cross-site tracking cookies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted in the app or on this page. Continued use of Bufferly after changes means you accept the updated policy.
